SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced today that its Chief Human Resource Officer, Janet Hanofee, has been selected to join the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). HRCI® is the premier credentialing and learning organization for the human resources profession.
Hanofee has worked closely with HRCI for more than ten years, beginning as a contributing question writer for its competency certification exams. Later, she took on additional responsibilities, first becoming an editor and then coach/mentor for the organization. Hanofee, who earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification through HRCI, also volunteers at local colleges and discusses the importance of continued education and training with future Human Resources (HR) professionals.
“The responsibilities for HR professionals are continuously evolving,” said Hanofee. “HRCI helps HR professionals enhance their skills, knowledge, and abilities to stay ahead of market trends, drive a positive corporate culture, and deliver business results.”
To become HRCI certified, candidates must meet the strict professional experience and educational requirements before taking the exam. In 2019, more than 13,000 HR practitioners tested for HRCI credentials. To maintain certifications, professionals must remain in an HR role and re-certify every three years.

Hanofee will begin serving her two-year term on the HRCI Board of Directors beginning in January 2021.
