RESTON, Va. (May 12, 2014) – SOS International (SOSi) was awarded a multiple award task order contract (MATOC) by the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) at locations throughout Europe and Africa. This MATOC has a maximum ceiling value of $172 million over a one year base period and four one-year option periods. SOSi expects the majority of the work to be performed in Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

The USAFE Advisory and Assistance Services contract supports all USAFE staff elements, and it includes requirements to perform a broad range of management functions; operational and professional services; studies, analyses and evaluations; engineering and technical services; and intelligence analysis requirements. Other military units located within the U.S. European Command and the U.S. African Command can also use this versatile contract to satisfy their A&AS needs.

In its winning bid, SOSi presented a formidable team of subcontractors that included BAE Systems Information Solutions, Inc., CGI Federal Inc., DRS Technical Services, Inc., Pluribus International Corporation, Spectrum Comm, Inc., and Vykin Corporation.

SOSi’s Chief Executive Officer, Julian Setian, noted, “SOSi’s win on the USAFE Advisory and Assistance Services contract underscores our company’s emergence as a top tier, prime integrator in the aerospace and defense industry. It builds upon six years of successful systems engineering and intelligence analysis experience supporting the U.S. Army in Europe, while providing us a wonderful opportunity to diversify our customer base. We are excited to continue to grow our business in support of the U.S. Air Force.”

In addition to winning a MATOC award, SOSi also won the first task order on this contract. Under this task order, SOSi will perform systems engineering and information technology support at the USAFE Headquarters in Germany.

“Winning the first task order really sets the tone for future performance on the USAFE A&AS contract,” said Setian. “We’re confident SOSi will provide USAFE the finest and most responsive support possible in the coming years.”
