RESTON, Va. (July 7, 2015) –The SOSi Mission Support team served up a slice of home this holiday weekend – hot dogs and hamburgers straight from the grill for troops serving in Taji, Besmaya and al-Taqaddum Air Base, Iraq.
Soldiers from the 82nd Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, N.C., and the 1st Sustainment Brigade, Fort Riley, Kan., also helped SOSi package and deliver meals via helicopter to 400 Marines serving in the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Al-Taqqadum Airbase. Donated by SOSi, the meals were the first hot chow the Marines have enjoyed since arriving in Iraq over a month ago Mission complete!
