I’m thrilled that WBJ recognized Kyle on its 40 Under 40 list. Kyle brings passion, commitment, and experience to his role as a technology leader serving the defense and intelligence communities here at SOSi. His rapid ascent in the Air Force speaks for itself, and he continues to have a tremendous positive impact on U.S. national security in his role as SOSi CTO,” said Julian Setian, CEO of SOSi.
RESTON, VA – June 14, 2023 – SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced today that the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Kyle Fox, has been honored as a Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award recipient. The annual list of the area’s top business leaders recognizes young professionals who have made significant contributions within their industries.
Fox joined SOSi in 2022 to create the company’s first agile software development factory. He has introduced transformative artificial intelligence (AI) and enhanced cyber capabilities for a wide range of SOSi clients. Specifically, over the past year, he has helped spearhead SOSi’s implementation of the Defense Department’s coalition network environment in the Pacific region, which operates on a zero-trust, data-centric security framework leveraging advanced AI capabilities to actively protect against emerging threats.
Prior to joining SOSi, Kyle was the Chief Software Officer for the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center ICBM modernization program where he led hardware and software development for the latest hypersonics, supply chain security, secure computing, power grid resiliency, quantum resistant encryption, Cloud, and AI technologies. Kyle also served as the Chief Software Engineer for the $96 billion U.S. Air Force Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent ICBM modernization program, where he was responsible for more than 1,000 software engineers. In that role, he established the world’s safest, most secure, and most efficient cloud architecture, the first cloud native nuclear weapon system program, and the first major weapon system in the DoD to leverage a complete DevSecOps delivery methodology.
Fox has also served as a leader in the high assurance Open Source Software (OSS) community, delivering cutting edge capabilities to support critical national infrastructure. His work connecting federal software vulnerability teams with OSS contributors helped to identify and close critical communication gaps between vendors, system integrators, contributors, and policy makers.
Kyle Fox and the other award recipients will be honored at an event on July 20 in Arlington, VA. The annual event brings together influential leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to celebrate the remarkable achievements of these exceptional individuals.
