– SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced today the addition of Mr. John Thomas, former executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Leidos, to its board of advisors. The government services integrator’s board is made up of leaders drawn from both government and the private sector. Its membership includes Dr. John Hillen, Amb James F. Jeffrey, Dr. Paul Wolfowitz, Mr. Stephen Waechter, Mr. Paul Butler, Mr. Lou Addeo, Mr. Ron Jones and Mr. Stanley Nasberg.

Thomas, a 33-year U.S. Army veteran and retired major general, is a career intelligence officer whose service included commanding the two largest intelligence organizations in the U.S. Army—the Army Intelligence Center at Ft. Huachuca and the Intelligence and Security Command at Ft. Belvoir. He also served as the associate deputy director of the National Security Agency and deputy chief of the Central Security Service at Fort Meade.
As executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Leidos, Thomas was responsible for corporate strategy, communications, mergers and acquisitions, and government and legislative affairs.
Previously, he served as president of SAIC’s National Security Sector, providing support for customers across the full spectrum of national security programs, including cybersecurity. He also served as the senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Intelligence Systems Group.
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He also graduated from the National War College, the Advanced Management Program of the University of Chicago, the Center for Creative Leadership, and the Harvard University Program for Senior Executives in National and International Security.
