Enhancing Mission Partner Capabilities
SOSi leads the development and engineering of solutions for the Department of Defense’s Mission Partner Environment (MPE). MPE is a secure, robust, and adaptable mission environment that leverages common standards and operational concepts that can be used by geographic combatant commanders and allied, coalition, and bilateral partners to communicate and share information. SOSi’s small form factor Multi Enclave Client (MEC) platforms enable users to operate in one, or more, security enclaves on a single device. Our virtualized and hyper-converged coalition environment, coupled with our Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) data encryption capabilities, allows us to deliver time-critical data to devices anywhere in the world. SOSi engineers are regionally available to support enterprise and expeditionary mission network requirements, and support users with end to end information technology services to ensure the DoD can seamlessly communicate with allied and coalition partners during peacetime and in crises.
Maintaining the integrity and security of U.S. Army global communication networks
SOSi maintains virtually every U.S. Army server in use across the country, including those comprising the Department of Defense Information Network – Army (DODIN-A). We pride ourselves on providing exceptional and reliable IT support to more than 500,000 users on a 24x7x365 basis. Our systems management team actively monitors the health of hundreds of U.S. Army servers, delivering proactive threat alerts. We execute enterprise-wide patch management and manage software updates to ensure that all Army installation systems meet the latest security and software requirements. SOSi also provides the Army with service desk support, application development, knowledge management, and incident/event/problem resolution.

Designing and deploying digital solutions to enhance mission capabilities and improve operational performance
At SOSi, we use Agile/DevOps software development principles to quickly design and develop software solutions that meet our customers’ unique performance, quality, and delivery needs. SOSi’s Scrum-based project planning approach is built on impact assessments and cost/time estimates and integrates continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines as well as software maintenance services based on defined service-level agreements. Our DevSecOps practices integrate development and operational teams and mitigate security risks early in the development cycle. We also leverage open source architecture and tools, whenever possible, to support software interoperability.

”Veterans play a vital role at SOSi. They not only provide the experience and technical talent we need to better serve our customers, they provide the leadership skills we’d be hard pressed to find in private industry alone. I’m proud to work alongside so many of them.
