SOSi provides Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) Program Integration Office (PIO) to deliver streamlined acquisition processes, conceptual, developmental and operational prototypes, along with the technical assessments and system analyses of leading edge ISR systems and technologies. SOSi’s ISR experts design, assess, develop, formulate, and evaluate test plans for candidate ISR technologies and capabilities; analyze alternatives; assess and propose key objectives; and evaluate performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). They routinely conduct inter-agency outreach and coordination with Combatant Commands, Military Services, the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Intelligence Community (IC), and other government agencies to rapidly identify, test, and field critical ISR capabilities to warfighters around the globe.

Overview
Results
SOSi’s A&AS experts supporting the OSD R&E PIO program have been instrumental in fielding cutting edge ISR technologies and capabilities to numerous military Combatant Commands, the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and other Special Access Program (SAP) clients. Our team conducted four rapid technology development initiatives for PIO customers, resulting in over 600 proposal submissions, down selecting to 60 viable technology solutions for customer requirements, and resulting in over 20 successful projects and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA). These 20 technology development projects were valued at over $30 million of new capabilities transitioned to U.S. and allied warfighters.
