Ensuring Operational Excellence
Operating and Maintaining Camp Taji, Iraq
SOSi provides logistics and security to 3,000+ U.S. military, NATO, and Iraqi National Forces, members of DoD agencies, and Foreign Military Sales contractors operating at Camp Taji, Iraq. We manage the daily operations and maintenance of the base’s 1.9 million square feet of facilities, as well as its fleet of tactical and non-tactical vehicles. We provide comprehensive base O&M support services to include power generation and distribution, water production, fire/emergency response, and medical services utilizing secure, off-shore, and local supply chains. We also operate base food services, billeting, and laundry services.
Global Logistics, Operations, and Maintenance Support
SOSi is providing valuable 24×7 operations and maintenance support at U.S. Air Force bases around the world. Our single, common management, maintenance, and repair services solution is currently in use at such diverse locations as MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida and Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar. Global Pay Systems
SOSi is an expert in migrating and modernizing large-scale payroll, retirement, and timekeeping systems to improve effectiveness, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs. Working with the Department of State, we designed, developed and implemented an innovative solution to migrate data from six legacy payroll and two time & attendance systems. The solution represents the largest and most complex implementation of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Global Pay within the U.S. Government. Our integrated payroll solution supports over 200 different compensation plans, processes bi-weekly payroll for over 60,000 employees in 186 countries and 160 currencies as well as provides retirement pay for over 17,000 foreign service annuitants.
Providing Language Services on the Front Lines
Since 2001, SOSi has provided direct simultaneous and consecutive interpretation support to our forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. SOSi interpreters operate throughout the theaters of operation, sometimes in austere conditions, to ensure the success of mission by deployed international forces. In addition to interpretation, SOSi interpreters provide the cultural and ethnic context of interpretations and advice to users on the cultural and ethnic significance of statements, conversations, and situations.
