SOSi selected by U.S. Air Forces Europe to Advise on Infrastructure Consolidation in Europe and Construction of New Facilities in the United Kingdom
September 13, 2016 - SOS International LLC (SOSi) has been selected by U.S. Air Forces Europe (USAFE) to support the European Infrastructure Consolidation (EIC) initiative announced by the Secretary of Defense in January 2015 and to advise the Air Force on the construction of a new intelligence analysis center in the United Kingdom. The two task orders were competitively won under the USAFE Advisory and Assistance Services III (A&AS III) program.
The EIC initiative is expected to save the U.S. government approximately $500 million annually by consolidating the U.S. military footprint in Europe, rebasing F-35 aircraft in the United Kingdom, and returning up to 15 sites to their host nations. SOSi will assist with project management and communications and information systems planning throughout Europe.
Engineering services in the United Kingdom will be performed in support of the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). They will include administration, managerial oversight, and technical implementation of construction plans, to include secure facilities in accordance with DoD standards and directives.
